Tascam 202 MK5 capstan belt

I have my own 202 Mk 5 here , So I know this is right on exactly that model.

Its a simple square belt , it may have been used on some of the earlier models but the jury is out on that , as I had listed a flat belt on the mk3 , that may have been an error on my part , but I do not have the transport here to check as sold it.

There are 2 belts in this machine, I will have the other in a month or so, but the smaller ones seem ok .

Tip maybe?

I was trying to change this belt and see that it gets stuck around a pillar under the motor, I tried to take the front off, but could not get to the motor to undo the screws. , So I undid the 4 screws and pulled the transport out. I noticed that the motor was only held by 2 screws , the pesky pillar that was in the way was free. probably you can just bend over the motor a bit ,and it will be enough to get the belt out, without taking the transport off.
