Soundcraft 760 Papst reel motor restored 9038052012

As I understood Soundcraft moved over to this motor in the Mk2 and 3 models as thats whats in mine here. There is a very good book about the history of Brenell and Soundcraft magnetics, well worth a read.

I am restoring slowly one of my machines here, so I had a few motors and have had them pulled apart as they was noisy, turns out bearings were shot so put new top quality ones in.

I have had the bearings replaced and the old flaky paint removed and then resprayed

Now they purr along, very very powerful motors  and no bearing noise.
