Teac EM1449 EM1446 EM1540 PCB 51675661 motors and general INFORMATION CCW CW

I  am writing this more for my information and its a bit of a work in progress here. Teac used a few motors over the years mostly i cannot see any difference just in some of the bigger machines they seem a bit meatier as draw more current but not that much, I was not sure if they can be swapped around as I do not have the manuals here.   There seems to be 3 different Pcbs at least from what I can see and I am unsure of the pinouts so I have listed them here, some use...

Tascam 38 for sure 32 34 probably and others push button replacement

I have seen lots of machines with a missing/broken button They are very easy to replace Get the front panel off and take of the whole pcb 5 llittle screws then you can get out the push button bank. There is a rod at the back with a very tiny almost you would miss it circlip in the middle, get that off an rod slides out, add the new button in and slide it back re- insert the clip and put all back together Here are some photos to help Before After job done

Tascam 34 pcb 52100748-02 and Tascam 38

Here i found something odd both of these Tascams have exactly the same board number, even the revision but they are not the same, it may well be one or the other match up with a Tascam 32, it maybe that the boards all work anyway as I have yet to try but the 34 has a different board Here you see the 34 board at the bottom

Fostex R8 metal pulley motor cogs are in

Just arrived today, need find some 3mm set/grub screws and we are away There are still thousands of Fostex R8,s out there I am surprised by how many of these machines they sold but for trying music out at home or away they was very popular simply because of their portability The reel cogs/Gears go on them all the time as were just pressed plastic, this is because of use or more often old sticky tape or people using the thicker studio tape which the machine was not designed for, many of these machine have been dumped over the years...

Correct Fostex E16 and B16 tension arm assemblies

I get into a bit of a pickle with these so decided to put this here as a photo says 1000 words If you wonder how they are meant to go together its like this rod on goes back bush stop/bearing shim bearing/front bush   Hope thats interesting
